The Pain Institute of Central Jersey and Neurology specializes in alcohol and drug detox and addiction. With regards to drug addiction, Dr. Schenker detoxes patients off of common narcotics and street drugs. From there, the patient is put onto the Suboxone program. Suboxone is utilized for the maintenance of opiate addiction as well as the tampering off the drug.
This program is cash only. Please see our rates page for the pricing.

For the Suboxone program, the appointment schedule is as follows:
The patient will come for the first initial visit, then the patient will come once a week for two visits, every other week for two visits and then to a once a month schedule. Some patients can wean off of Suboxone as early as three months into the program. Random urine analysis is a requirement of the program.

With regards to alcohol detox and addiction, Dr. Schenker can prescribe Vivitrol and Naltrexone to help patients detox off of alcohol as well as maintain the addiction. Similarly, this program is cash only and follows the same routine visit schedule: once a week for two visits, every other week for two visits and then once a month.
As a requirement of both programs, patients must be willing to submit random urine analyses as well as each patient must be seeing a counselor or a group therapy, or a therapy group such as Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous for two reasons.

As of 2016, most insurance companies require that a patient on a detox drug such as Suboxone, Vivitrol or Naltrexone be seeing a private therapist or group therapy to assist them with their addiction. These are not lifetime drugs. These are not lifetime programs. Our goal is to get all of our patients the prescription that they need, wean them off of it and help them lead a more active and fulfilled lifestyle. Please call the office for more information.
